ZOOM ESSENTIALS
Online workshops are held LIVE on Zoom.

About a week before the start of our retreat, I will send an email with our Meeting ID and passcode. Please save these and use them to access our meeting each day.

If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, please spend a few minutes

In January 2023 we began offering recordings of the sessions. Each retreat is assigned a Google Classroom site, which will house the links for the video recordings. We ask that these links be kept for your personal, private viewing only.

NOTES ABOUT ZOOM:

-
Zoom uses a lot of bandwidth so I recommend using an ethernet cable to connect to the internet for the most stable connection. If using WiFi try to make sure you are in a spot close to your router for the best connection.
-
Computers and laptops work best but you may also use tablets or smartphones, just be aware that the interfacing is more limited on these smaller devices.
-
Set up your device so that you can easily look from your own work to the screen where I will be demonstrating. This will help you follow along with ease.
-
Our first meeting will begin a few minutes early for those who want to test their connection, otherwise I will remind us of the basics at the start of the first class.
-
Most important rule: remain MUTED unless speaking, and be mindful of talking over others or myself.
An additional note on technology. Technology is a wonderful tool and has much to offer us, but it is also imperfect. Sometimes your computer will glitch out, sometimes mine will. Sometimes inexplicable issues will present. I invite us all to practice patience, a sense of humor and seeing God in all things – even frustration. We are in this together and will make it through ANYTHING together!
