This is a PRE-RECORDED, self-paced retreat which provides opportunity for anyone to enjoy icon writing regardless of location and schedule. 
 
I have designed the icon of St. Gabriel to be a companion icon to the Coptic St. Michael, which was offered in October of 2023. The original icon of Gabriel may be lost or may never have existed but these two often are depicted together, usually flanking the central icon of a triptych.
All levels of experience welcome!

Digital files for instructional material (print at home)
Instruction will be based on a 5x7 board. Boards are available for purchase through the Sophia Icon Studio Store 
Gold paint or 1/2 sheet of gold leaf will be used on this icon. Single sheets of gold leaf available for purchase through the Sophia Icon Studio Store
